“Big Rain”, well what can I say? I never thought I’d get into Alternative Country Music as some times they’re categorized in, otherwise it’s a unique mix of Rock, Country and Blues out of Santa Cruz, California. Big Rain consists of a core trio of Bruce Guynn, Peter Alaimo, and James Chatterton. I saw these gentlemen at Solis Winery in Gilroy, California back in 2005and was impressed enough to buy their CD “Big Rain”. Since, it’s become a staple when working on this web site www.wine-fi.com or Grilling in the backyard. Rarely have I purchased a CD were just about every song holds it own from the first song “Sweet Inspiration”, leading to “I’m Not Running”, “Valley of Towers”, “I’m Breaking Out”, “Las Vegas”, “Waiting” and more. From the samples you can tell all the tunes are catchy, putting you into a feel good mood. Check them out for yourself and if you do purchase any of their music tell them Wine-Fi sent you. “Big Rain” News May 22nd - Spoke to Bruce the other day, he said their recent trip to visit the Troops in Iraq went great. Our boys & girls really appreciated their shows. And for the guys in the Band it was an eye opener as to what our Guys & Gals are doing over there. Futher into the conversation Bruce is throwing around the idea of a Rockin' Wine Tour of a few Wineries in the Gilroy, Morgan Hill in the Bay Area. At the last Winery there would be your last Wine Tasting, food & a "Big Rain" show. Mind you now it's only an idea but if you were interested in attending e-mail info@wine-fi.com and in the subject line reference "Big Rain". Pricing, Wineries & Transportation are still in a planing stage so nothing is firm but it'd be nice to get feed back of the interest out there. It'd be a fun filled day for all.
